In the Primary page, specify the login information to the primary database.
Note that the user must have the SYSDBA privilege granted.
In Services, type the net service name for the primary database instance. The
backup will be performed on the system where this database instance resides.
RAC: List all net services names for the primary database separated by a comma.

In the Catalog page, select Use target database control file instead of recovery
catalog to use the primary database control file.
To use the recovery database catalog as an RMAN repository for backup history,
select Use recovery catalog and specify the login information to the recovery
catalog.
Oracle Data Guard: If you intend to back up a standby database, you must use
the recovery catalog.
The user specified must be the owner of the recovery catalog.
In Services, type the net service name for the recovery catalog.
