AUDIO (R and L MONO) and VIDEO In Jacks Receives signals
from
another component like a VCR or
camcorder when it is connected to these jacks. Use INPUT to select L2 to record from these jacks.
CHANNEL*TRACKING and Up • and Down • Selects next higher or lower channel in the VCR's
channel memory. Adjusts tracking when a tape is playing. Used for program express and moving through
menu system.
CLEAR and Left
d Resets time counter to 0:00:00. Allows you to change entries when setting the clock
or programming the timer. Used for program express and navigating through the menu system.
FWD Forwards the tape when the VCR is stopped. Searches the picture forward during playback. Starts
slow motion during play-pause and increases slow-motion speed.
INFO and Right • Displays information on the TV screen. Used for program express and navigating
through the menu system.
INPUT Selects between the line inputs and VCR's tuner. Line input refers to the signal coming from the
component connected to the audiolvideo input jacks on the back or front of the VCR.
MENU Displays and accesses VCR's menu system on the TV screen.
PLA¥1PAUSE Plays a tape. Pauses action for viewing during playback. Pauses recording to prevent
recording of unwanted scenes.
PROG. EXP. Used for program express.
ON,OFF Turns the VCR on or off.
RECORD Starts VCR recording. Used for express recording.
Remote Sensor Receives signals from the remote control. Aim the remote at this sensor.
REV Rewinds the tape when the VCR is stopped. Searches the picture in reverse during playback. Starts
slow motion during play-pause and decreases slow-motion speed.
Shuttle Ring Turn clockwise to search forward or counterclockwise to search in reverse. Turn farther
(over halfway) clockwise to fast forward or farther counterclockwise to rewind.
STOPIEJECT A single press of this button stops norma[ VCR functions such as record, playback, rewind,
fast-forward, or pause. If pressed a second time, this button ejects an inserted tape.
Tape Speed Selects a recording speed (either SP or SLP).
Transmitter Transmits signal to a compatible remote-controllable cable box or digital satellite receiver.
TV.VCR Switches the picture signal so that it either comes from the VCR or the TV cablelantenna signal.
