• FORWARD:Movecontrol FORWARD towardwedge
to split wood.
__i ARNING:Wear leather work gloves,
safety shoes,ear protection,and safety
glasses when operating a log splitter.
Ensuresafe footing.
NOTE:Controlhandlewill returnto neutralpositionas
soonas handleis released.(ForwardPosition only)
NEUTRAL:Releasethe controlor movethe leverto
neutralpositionto stop movement.
REVERSE:MovecontrolBACKto returntoward
the cylinderbase.Thecontrol staysin the return
(Reverse)positionand returnsto neutralautomati-
cally whenfully retracted.
Handle
Thehandle isusedto slidethe cylinderintooperating
position.
Air Vent
Theair vent is locatedon the rear of the wedgeand is
usedto help vent air out of the hydraulicfluid reservoir.To
preventfluid fromescapingout of this hole,the log splitter
mustalwaysbe operatedon levelground.
NOTE:Reversepositionmayalso be operatedback to
neutralpositionmanually,if necessary.

Safety Switch
Thesafety switchis intendedto preventtheoperator
from startingthe enginewithoutthecylinder beingin the
operating"lock"position.See Figure4-3 for the location
