Pre-Operation Check
Oil Recommendations
IMPORTANT: T his engineis shippedwithoutgasolineor
oil in the engine.Runningthe enginewith insufficientoil
cancause seriousenginedamageand voidthe engine
warranty.
+ Beforestartingengine,fill with oil. Donot over-fill.Oil
capacityis about20 oz.
Use a 4-stroke,or an equivalenthigh detergent,
premiumquality motoroil certifiedto meet or exceed
U.S.automobilemanufacturer's requirements for service
classification SG/SF.MotoroilsclassifiedSG/SF will
showthis designation on thecontainer.
SAE 10W-30is recommended for general,all tem-
peratureuse. If singleviscosityoil is used, selectthe
appropriateviscosityfor theaveragetemperaturein your
area fromthe chart to the right.
NOTE:A 5w30 syntheticoil may be usedto improve
startabilityfor coldweather(temperatures below40
degreesF).
IMPORTANT: U singnondetergent oil or 2-stroke
engineoil couldshortenthe engine'sservicelife.
