Connecting YourVCR
Now that you're familiar
with some of your VCR's features,
you're
ready to connect the antenna
and the t_;levision. You won't have
to complete
all of the connections
you see in this chapter-
make
only those connections
that apply to your equipment.
You should keep in mind that there
are two steps you need to
take to connect your VCR: first, connect
the antenna
or cable to
the VCR, then connect
the VCR to the t_;levision.

The first thing you need to do is connect
the antenna
or cable.
Because
there are at least four differen_
types of ante_mas,
this
chapter
will show how to connect all of them. You don't need to
make all the connections.
First, find out what kind of amterma you
have. Then, make the connection
for that
type of antenna.
You
can then go straight
to the next section,

Connectingcable antennas
If you have cable TV, this is the only anter_._a you need te hook
up. Because
some cable companies
require
a cable box (for un-
scrambling
cable signals),
there are two kinds
of cable connec-
tions shown: with and without
a cable box.

Connect
