memory

"recap" screen.
To program
additional
recording
times, select an empty
program
line by pressing
the JOG/ADJUST
buttons.
Then,
press the ENTER button.
You will return
to the "Program
to
record" screen. Continue
the prograrmning
procedure
from
step O-

Only four of the eight program
lines appear
on-screen
at any one
time. To see additional
program
lines, press
the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
to scroll the lines on the screen.

When you are finished
with all program:ruing,
turn the VCR
power OFF and be sure the programmed
recording
light (E3)
is lit on the fluorescent
display.
Howew;r,
if you have a cable
box, leave the box turned
ON, tuned to the station
you wish to
record. If you are using
_m A/B switch, remember
to set the
switch to the correct position.

changing settings whileprogramming
If you wish to change
one of your settings
(such as start
time)
while you are programming_
use the ENTER
and CANCEL
buttons
on the remote
to select the setting
you wish to change.
ENTER
will move you forward
through
the fist, while CANCEL
will move you backwards.
Then, use the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
to
change
the setting.
If you press CANCEL
while the cursor is next to the channel
number,
you will cancel the entire
program.
Using One-TouchRecording(OTR)
One-Touch
Recording
(also called OTR) is a way to begin record-
ing immediately,
but have your VCR stop recording
and turn off
automatically
ai%er your show is over.
Beforeyoubegin,you needto knowhow:
• to view the picture
coming from your VCR. (See page 22.)
To use OTR:
O
Load a tape that has not had its eraslm.* tab removed
into the
VCR. If you have not yet recorded
on this tape, the VCR will
test the tape with the PerfecTape
feature.
(See page 48.)
Set the VCR's input
to tuner.
To do this, press the DYPUT
button
on the remote
control
until a channel
number
appears
on the screen or on the front panel fluorescent
display.
If you have not already
done so, set the speed that you would
like to record. (See "Using the Audio _md Video Functions,"
page 26.)
