you've chosen, the search is €_anceled; if the VCR has reached

beginning
of the tape, it will begin playback.
The tape may not
search to the exact point you have chosen.
Searchingfor a blank portionof tape
Use "Search
to blank" to fund any blank
portion
of a tape.

on the remote

Indexsearchtechniques
Index search
is a very useful way to find spe,ific
points on a tape.
Index search
works by placing
index marks
at important
:places
on a tape. Then, you use index search to find these marks.
Index
marks
are added automatically
whenever
your VCR starts
a new
recording;
you can also add index marks
manually
at any spot.
automatic indexmarks
Whenever
recording
is begun from the STOP mode, an index
mark is automatically
added to the tape. The index light (¥) will
flash on the fluorescent
display,
and an on-sc, reen message
will
indicate
that the mark is being recorded.
Index marks are not added when you press PAUSE
to be_,4n
recording
from the record-pause
mode.
