1 From the Main Menu, select SETTINGS, then ROUTE & GUIDANCE.
2 Use the Route setting screen to:
• Select either Quickest Time or Shortest Distance from the Route Type menu.
• Enable or disable Avoid Toll Roads and Avoid Urban Areas from the Route Options
menu if required - you can select both or neither if you wish.
• Enable or disable the Back-on-Track™ feature from the Rerouting menu – enable
Automatic Rerouting if you want the iCN 630 to automatically update the planned
route when you take a wrong turn.
3 Use the Guidance setting screen to:
• Choose the type of voice you wish from the Voice Scheme menu – use the left/right
toggle button to scroll through the list of options.
• Choose the Distance Units that you require – all measurements (e.g. Distance
to Go), map scales, navigation screens and voice announcements can be
programmed as kilometres or miles.
• Enable or disable the compass on the map screens.

Points of Interest Settings

There are usually a very large number of Points of Interest in any one geographical region. This
function allows you to select only those categories that you might need. For example you may
be interested only in accommodation and entertainment venues, and may want to disable such
categories as schools and churches.
1 From the Main Menu, select SETTINGS, then POINTS OF INTEREST.
2 Enable the “Show Icons on Map” option from the Display menu if you want the Points of
Interest to be displayed on your maps.
3 Select the Points of Interest that you wish to be enabled from the Categories menu.
