Features That Can Be Set Using the Multi Selector
Using the Flash (Flash Mode)
You can set tile flash mode to match tile shooting conditions.
1 Press the multi selector • (_ flash mode).

2 Use the muld selector to select the desired
mode and press the @ button.
• See "Available Flash Modes" ([_]] 57).
• If a setting is not applied by pressing the _) button
within a few seconds, the selection will be canceled.
• When _tAIITn (auto) is applied, _ is only displayed for
a few seconds, regardless of Monitor settings
(_ 94).

• The flash lamp indicates the status of the
flash when you press the shutter-release
button halfway.
- On: The flash will fire when you press the shutter-release button all the way down.
- Blinking: The flash is charging. The camera cannot take pictures.
- Of_ The flash will not fire when a picture is taken.
• If the battery is low, the monitor will turn off in order to save power while the flash is
charging.

When IS() sensitivity is set to Auto, the flash has a range of 0,5 to 5,5 m ( ft 8 in, to 18 ft) at the
maximum wide angle zoom position and a range of 1,0 to 3,0 m (3 ft 4 in, to 9 ft 10 in.) at the
maximum telephoto zoom position.
