_1_ Formatting a Memory Card
• The first time you insert a memory card that has been used in another device into this camera, be
sure to format it with this camera,
• All data stored on a memory card is permanently deleted when the card is formatted, Be
sure to transfer important images to a computer and save them be_re fermatting,
• To format a memory card, insert the card into the camera, press the MENUbutton, and select
Format card in the setup menu (_ 94),
