Scene Mode (Shooting Suited toScenes)
Use this m ode totake p anorama pictures.
From t he screen displayed after the _
Panorama scene mode is selected, select Easy
panorama or Panorama assist.
• Easy panorama (default setting): By simply moving the camera in the desired direction,
panoramas that can be played back using the camera can be taken.
- You can set the shooting range to Normal (180 °) or Wide (360°).
- Press the shutter-release button all the way and release it, and then slowly move tile
camera horizontally. Shooting ends automatically when the selected shooting range
has been captured.
- The camera focuses on the area in the center of the frame when shooting begins.
- The zoom position is fixed at the maximum wide-angle position.
- When viewing an image captured using easy panorama in full-frame playback mode,
press the _) button to display the short edge of the image using the entire monitor
and automatically move (scroll) the displayed area.

• Panorama assist: Use this setting to capture a series of images that will be connected
using a computer to form a panorama image.
- Press the mufti selector A V, • or • to select the direction that you will move the
camera in when capturing images, and press the _) button.
- After shooting the first image, confirm on the screen how the captured image will be
connected to the next image, and shoot the next image. Shoot as many images as
needed to complete the panorama. To finish shooting, press the _) button.
- Transfer the images to your computer and use the included Panorama Maker 5 (_ 83,
_'_6) software to combine the images into a single panorama image.
