• Features that can be set by pressing the MENU button: Image mode, which is
the combination of image size and image quality (_

• When using [] (night landscape), [] (backlighting), or °# (pet portrait), press
the MENU button to set the Image mode or any of the options available in the
current mode's shooting menu.

• When the camera selects a scene mode, the shooting
mode icon displayed in the
shooting
screen changes to that for the scene mode currently enabled.

• The area of the frame that the camera focuses on (AF area) depends on the composition
of the picture. The camera detects and focuses on human faces.
• Depending
upon shooting conditions, the camera may not select the desired scene
mode. Should this occur, switch to I_1 (auto) mode (_
24) or select the desired scene
mode manually.
• Digital zoom cannot be used.
