It is possible to fudher magnify a subject
already magnified 3 times with the optical
zoom by 2 more times, with the digital zoom,
thereby reaching a maximum of 6 times.
[Preparation]
• Set the operational mode dial and REC mode
dial. (P25)

Press the [MENU] button.

Press k/V to select [D. ZOOM].
3 Press 4/1_ to set to [ON].

Press the [MENU] button.
• The menu will disappear.
• The zoom adiustment and recording methodare
the same as in "Using the Optical Zoom".(P32)
• In motion image mode [_], you cannot use the
digital zoom.
• When setting the digital zoom to [ON], the display
of the LCD monitor cannot be set to off.
• When using the digital zoom the picture quality
becomes deteriorated.
