AE)
Available modes:
TAPE-CAMERA, CARD-CAMERA
You can set the camcorder to the shooting
mode that will create the best results for a
specific situation. Just select one of the scene
settings shown below.
SHUT.SPEED: You can manually adjust the
shutter speed. The camcorder will
automatically choose the optimal exposure
level (F-number) according to the selected
shutter speed.
EXPOSURE: You can manually adjust the
exposure level (F-number). The camcorder
will automatically choose the optimal
shutter speed according to the selected
exposure level.
SPORT: You can record a fast-moving
subject with little blurriness. (The shutter
speed is set to 1/500 sec.) This is effective
for recording tennis swings, track and field
events, and so on.
SUNLIGHT: You can record without
darkening the subject even if the back-
ground is particularly bright. This is
effective for recording at ski area or when
swimming in the ocean.
PARTY: You can record a picture with the
brightness adjusted for a subject with a
large contrast to minimize white flaring.
This is effective for recording subjects
illuminated by a spotlight.
DUSK: You can accurately record the red of
the setting sun and the surrounding
twilight.

mode, set the Manual Selection switch
to MANUAL to display the MANUAL
screen.

Turn the CONTROL dial to select
"SCENE MENU", then press the dial.

Turn the CONTROL dial to select the
desired scene setting, then press the
dial.
• The selected scene setting displays in
yellow.
• If you select the SHUT.SPEED or
EXPOSURE scene setting, follow the
procedure on the next page.

Set the Manual Selection switch to
LOCK to lock the selected scene setting.
