Monitoring and Managing the Switch
The switch can be managed in-band using Fibre Channel protocol, or out-of-band by connecting to
the Ethernet port. The management functions allow the administrator to monitor fabric topology,
port status, physical status, and other information to aid in system debugging and performance
analysis.

Installation and Reference Guide
The switch performs POST (power on self-test diagnostics) by default each time the switch
is powered on or reset, and any errors are recorded in the error log. For more information
