The compound miter saw has been adjusted at the fac-
tory for making very accurate cuts. However, some of the
componentsmight have moved out of alIgnmentduring
shlpplng,AJso,over a period of time, readjustmentwrit
probably become necessary due to wear. After unpacking
the saw, check the following adjustments before you
begin using saw, Make any readjust_ants that are
necessary and per_odic_l_check the parts alignment
to make sure that the saw is cuffing accurately.

by itself.
• If the saw arm does not raise by Itselfor if there Is play
in the pivot.ioints,have sew repairedat yournearest
Service Center.
BEVEL PIVOT ADJUSTMENT
• The compound mitersaw shouldbeveJ easily by loos-
ening the bevel lock knob and tiltingthe saw arm to the
left,
If movementis tightor if there is play in the pivot, have
saw repairedby a qualifiedservice technicianat your
nearest Sears Service Centerto avoid dsk of personal
injury,
DEPTH
STOP
The depth stop is factory set to providemaximum cutting
capacity for the 12 In. saw blade providedwith the saw,
