90",therefore,you will need to fine tune your settings.
When cutting crown molding by this method the bevel
angte should be set at 0".The miter anglo shouldbe set at
45"either right or left, dopondingon the desired cut for the
sppLLcation.
Usingthe markings on the throat plata, you can accurately
cut All Standard (U.S.)with 52"and 38"angles in sizes
of 2-3/4 in., 3-5/8 in., 4-5/8 in., and 5-1/4. You cannot
usa the markingson the throat platowhon cutting crown
moldingwith 45"and 45"angles.
• Loosenthe crown molding stop by turning the knob
countemlockwlse.

• With the bottom of the molding (wall aide)against the
miter fence and the top of the molding(callingaide)
against the miter table, alignwith the desired mark on
the throat plate then spin the crown moldingstop until
it fits snugglyagainst the crown molding.
• Secure the crown molding stop in placa by turningthe
knob clockwise.
Hold the crown molding in place with your hand(the
side not securedwith the stop).
NOTE: NEVER haveyour hand inside the no hands
zone while the saw Is on,
• Slowty towerthe blade Into and through the workptece,
• Release the switch triggerand allow the blade to stop
rotat'mg before raisingthe blade out of workpiace.Wait
untilthe elactflc brokestopa blade from turning before
removJng the workplace from miter table.

To use this method for accurately cutting crown molding
for a 90"inside or outside corner,place the crown molding
upside down on the miter table.
Keep in mind that the angles for crown moldingsare very
preciseand d]fficuitto set. Since it is very easy for these
engtes to shift, el!settingsshoutd first be tested on scrap
