8. Carefully lift up the hot-swap hard disk drive backplane. When the hooks are aligned with the holes in
the backplane, slowly move the backplane a little bit outward. Then, completely remove the hot-swap
hard disk drive backplane.

9. Touch the static-protective package that contains the new hot-swap hard disk drive backplane to any
unpainted surface on the outside of the server. Then, remove the new backplane from the package.
Note: Carefully handle the backplane by its edges.
