TO REMOVE BLOWER CHUTE
1. Graspblowerchute with one handand pull lock rod on mounting
bracketwith otherhand towardengine to release.Referto Figure7.
2. Removeblowerchutefrom overthe rim of the dischargeopening.
USING THE NOZZLE VACUUM
1. Placenozzle/hosevac leverin the top positionon the nozzleto
vacuumthroughnozzle.See Figure13.
2. Thespring loadedpin mustbe in the first hole (closestto the end of
the tube)of the hoseadapterto operatethe nozzlevac.
3. Placebothhandson top of the upper handleand fully lift the drive
controlagainstthe upperhandleto propel the unitoveryard.
4. Use thespeedcontrolto chooseeitherthe highor low speed.The
speedcontrolmay be movedeitherwhilethe unit is propellingor
beforeengagingthe wheels.
IMPORTANT: Movethe speedcontrolonlywhenthe engine is running.
Changingthe speedcontrolsettingwith the engineoff candamagethe
yardvacuum.
Yardwastesuchas leavesand pine needlescan be vacuumedup
throughthe nozzlefor shredding.After materialhasbeenshredded
by theflail bladeson the impellerassembly,it will be discharged
intocatcherbag or throughblowerchute.Do notattemptto shredor
chipany materialother thanvegetationfoundin a normalyard (i.e.
branches,leaves,twigs,etc.) Avoidfibrousplants suchas tomato
vines untilthey are thoroughlydriedout. Materialssuch as stalksor
heavybranchesup to 1-1/2"in diametermay be fed intothe chipper
chute.

WARNING:Do not attempt to shred, chip, or vacuum
any material largerthan specifiedon the machine
or in this manual. Personalinjuryor damageto the
machine could result.
IMPORTANT: Theflail screenis locatedinsidethe housingin the
dischargearea.If the flailscreen becomesclogged,removeand clean
as instructedin the Service& Adjustmentssectionon page 17.For
best performance, i t is alsoimportantto keepthe chipperbladesharp.

disconnecting sparkplug wire.

needlesin hard to reachplaces.
