NOZZLE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The nozzlecan be adjustedtoany six positions,rangingfrom5/8" to4
1/8"groundclearance.The nozzleheighthastobe adjustedaccording
toyard conditions.
1. Depressnozzleheightadjustmentlevertowards wheel.See Figure
17.
2. Move the heightadjustmentleverforwardor backwardto adjustthe
nozzle upwardsor downwards.Makesureboth leversare in the
same position.
3. Releaselevertowardsdeck.
NOTE:In general,raisethe nozzleheightto vacuuma thick layerof
leavesor to operatewith the blowerchute.Lowerthe nozzleheightfor
smoothersurfaces.
DRIVE CONTROL
CABLE ADJUSTMENT
Adjustthedrivecontrolcable iftheyardvacuumdoes notself propel
with thedrivecontrolengaged,or iftheunit hesitateswhiletheengine
maintainsthesamespeedafter approximately 20 hoursof use.
To movethez-fittingof thedrive controlcablefrom itsfactory set
positionin thefronthole ofthedrivecontrolto therear hole,proceed
as follows:
1. a. Pushtheright sideof thecontrolout of theright holein theupper
handle.See Figure18A.
b. Pivotcontroldowntowardsthe lowerhandle.
c. Pivotstraightup to removeit from theleft hole in the upper
handle.See Figure18A.
2. Graspthe z-fittingwith yourhand and moveit from the front hole to
the rear hole of the drivecontrol.See Figure18B.
IMPORTANT: Makesureto insert the z-fittingintothe rear hole as
it was insertedin the front hole,that is from the outside of thedrive
control.
3. Reinstallthe drivecontrol byperformingthe previoussteps in the
oppositeorderand mannerof removal.
IMPORTANT: Onceassembledand prior to restarting,makesure that
the cable is properlyadjusted.With the drivecontroldisengaged,the
unitshouldfreelypull in reverse.
