Making contact with a voltage point or shorting out a part could result in fire or electrical shock.     Safety Power Cord • Use the power cord supplied with your printer. • Plug the power cord directly into a properly grounded electrical outlet. Make sure each end of the cord is securely connected. If you do not know if an outlet is grounded, ask an electrician to check the outlet.

    Troubleshooting Control Panel Messages The control panel touch screen provides information and troubleshooting help. When an error or warning condition occurs, the touch screen displays a message. The touch screen may also display an animated graphic showing the location of the problem, such as the location of a paper jam. Problems which prevent the full operation of the printer have associated fault codes.

    Troubleshooting General Troubleshooting This section contains procedures to help you locate and resolve problems. Some problems can be resolved by simply restarting the printer.
