3.5 Setting the DIP Switch on the Serial
Interface Board
1.
Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the electric outlet.
2.
Remove the mounting screw of the main board cover. (Be sure not to have the screw
lost)
3.
Slide the main board cover and remove it from the printer.
4.
Set the DIP switch according to the following table.
CAUTION
 Use care in handling the edged part (especially cutter blade) of the components of the printer.
 When setting the DIP switch, do not remove any screws except the serial interface
board mounting screws.
 Turn the power OFF when changing the DIP switch setting.
 Do not use any pointed object for setting.
 Do not leave the interface board open when using.
The function of each switch is shown below. (Shaded values are factory
settings. However, factory settings differ depending on the destination market.)
