Connecting the Printer to a Computer

This printer is equipped with a USB connector. By installing the optional network

board (NB-C2), the printer can be connected directly to the network using a LAN
cable.
Connect the printer and computer using a connecting method appropriate for your
network environment.
Using a USB Cable (See p. 2-29)
● If your computer is the print server
- Using a USB Cable (See p. 2-29)
- Using a LAN Cable* (See p. 2-31)
* Only if the optional network board is installed
● If your computer is a client computer
You do not need to connect this printer to the computer directly.
Proceed to the procedure for installing the printer driver (See p. 4-46).
