This chapter describes the installation of the OfficeConnect Remote
hardware. Initial configuration information can be found in the
OfficeConnect Remote Getting Connected Guide.
Installation Requirements
The following items are needed in order to install the OfficeConnect
Remote.
A standard ISDN line wall socket close to the proposed installation
site. If a suitably sited wall socket is not available, contact your
ISDN supplier for assistance.
The ISDN telephone number of the remote ISDN unit. This is
needed in order to carry out the connection configuration
procedure.
A suitable cable for connection to the LAN or workstation (if only
a single workstation is attached to this unit).
Although OfficeConnect Remote has two LAN ports (10Base2 and
10Base-T), only one can be used at a time.
If connecting to the remote site over a leased line (531 only), a
suitable WAN cable.
