v Follow the suggested actions in the order in which they are listed in the Action column until the problem
is solved.
v See Chapter 3, "Parts listing, System x3105 Type 4347," on page 53 to determine which components are
customer replaceable units (CRU) and which components are field replaceable units (FRU).
v If an action step is preceded by "(Trained service technician only)," that step must be performed only by a
trained service technician.

An operating system was not found.
I9990650
The AC power has been restored.
Action
1. Make sure that a bootable operating system is
installed.
2. Run the hard disk drive diagnostic tests.
3. Reseat the following components:
a. Hard disk drive
b. CD or DVD drive and cables
c. (Trained service technician only) System
board
4. Replace the components listed in step 3 one at a
time, in the order shown, restarting the server
each time.
1. Reseat the power cord.
2. Check for the interruption of the external power.
3. Replace the power cord.
