Required kits

Before you begin the Enterprise Virtual Array upgrade, you must download the XCS 09522000
controller software from the following website:
http://www.software.hp.com
Click Storage and NAS under Product category, scroll down to HP EVA4400/6400/8400 XCS
09522000 and click Receive for Free. Follow the instructions to enter your information and download
the .ISO image.
Before you begin the Enterprise Virtual Array upgrade, you must also download HP Command View
EVA 9.1 software from the IT Resource Center (ITRC) using the following procedure:
1. To obtain a user ID, register with the ITRC at
top of the page. Perform this step once for each user.
2. Link your support agreement(s) to your ITRC user ID at
entitlements/linkSupportAgreement.do.
Enter the System Handle or SAID (Service Agreement Identifier), specified on your support
agreement. Perform this step once per support agreement and click link. If you have not logged
into the ITRC, you will be prompted to enter your ITRC User ID and password.
3. To manage the software updates for your linked support agreements, go to
www.itrc.hp.com/service/sum/home.do
4. To receive physical media, click Request Updates; to request a download of the .ISO image to
create a CD yourself, click Download Updates.
5. Select the appropriate Support Agreements or select All Support Agreements.
6. Under How would you like to view the updates?, select By release and click Next.
7. Select HP CV EVA 9.1 Rep Sol Mgr 5.0 Media Kit by checking the appropriate box and click
Next.
8. Review the Delivery address information for physical CD delivery or select the location for the
image file to be stored and click Submit.
