5-6. Checking the sewing pattern

Use test feed mode to check the needle movement with only the feed mechanism operating.
Check that the needle hole does not come out from the frame of the work clamp.

If test feeding continues to the final stitch,
it will then stop.

Press the TEST key.
Select the program number to be checked, and then set the X-scale and
the Y-scale.
• The program number will flash.
Depress the work clamp switch (1) to lower the work clamp, and then
depress the start switch (2).
• The work clamp will move to the sewing start position, and then the
program number will stop flashing and illuminate steadily.
• The number of stitches will appear in the menu display.
Depress the work clamp switch (1) to lower the work clamp, and then
depress and release the start switch (2).
• The work clamp will start moving continuously one stitch at a time.
[Fast-forward test mode]
If the work clamp switch (1) is depressed while the work clamp is moving,
the feeding speed can be increased while the work clamp switch (1) is
depressed.
TEST indicator switches off

If you press the
key, the feed mechanism will move
forward one stitch at a time, and if you press the
key, the feed mechanism will move backward one
stitch at a time. (The feed will move quicker if you
keep the key pressed down.)
If you would like sewing to start while test feeding is in
progress, press the TEST key to switch off the TEST
indicator.
When the start switch (2) is depressed, sewing will
start.
Press the TEST key.
