By connecting to your existing ADSL or cable modem service, which allows the use of a single, network for voice and fax services with consequent saving in network infrastructure and greatly reduced telephone charges.

One is Gateway type and another is Terminal type. There are some different functions, applications and configurations between the Gateway type and Terminal type.
