CHECKING THE CARDAN SHAFT
OIL LEVEL
NOTE
Halve maintenance intervals if
you are riding in rainy or dusty conditions,
or on rough road surfaces.
Check cardan shaft oil level at regular
intervals; change the oil after the first 1500
km (930 mi) and then every 20000 km
(12500 mi).

For the check, proceed as follows:
Keep the vehicle in vertical position, with

the two wheels resting on the ground.

Undo and remove the level plug (1).
u
Check that oil level is just below the hole
for the level plug (1). Top up if oil is
below the specified level.
To top up or change cardan shaft oil,
contact a Moto Guzzi Authorised
Dealer.

REAR-VIEW MIRRORS

WARNING
Do not ride with rear-view mirrors
incorrectly set.
Before leaving, always ensure they are
correctly set.
WARNING
Wear clean gloves or use a clean cloth
to adjust rear-view mirrors position to
keep the reflecting surface clean, and
ensure proper visibility.
