11.3.1. Updating via the Internet

T o retrieve new virus-definition databases from an FTP or a web
server,
launch the program with the command line switch –uik:
./kavupdater -uik=server_and_path
The program retrieves databases and copies them to the database
directory.
For example,
./kavupdater -uik=http://www.kasperskylab.com/updates

T o upgrade the Kaspersky Anti-Virus for xBSD File Server
components from an FTP or a web server,
launch the program with the command line switch –uip:
./kavupdater -uip=server_and_path
The program also allows you to retrieve upgrades without the subsequent
auto-upgrading.

subsequent auto-upgrading,
launch the program with the command line switch –uipd:
