scanning settings
The customs page items allow you to define advanced program
performance settings for the entire list on the objects page.
The page options and their functions are similar to those described in
subchapter 9.9.
10.7.3. Launching Daemon from a
remote location
The daemon process may be started more than once but the virus-
definition databases are loaded into the memory just once, when the
program is started for the first time.
Therefore, when you start the daemon process using the run hyperlink in
the WebTuner main window (see Figure 20), one of the following two
situations may arise: the daemon process is started for the first or the
second (third, fourth...) time.
Starting the daemon process for the first time.
In this case the Daemon starter window (see Figure 23) on your screen
will display a message informing you that the running daemon process is
not detected.

T o start the daemon process, follow these steps:
1. Press the run button.
2. The Daemon starter (see Figure 24) will appear on your
screen. In this window, enter the path to the directory with the
socket file (supporting communication between Daemon and
