    1. FEATURES & ADVANTAGES Thanks to its compact and robust design, the COMPACTCUT 450 series is ideal for use on confined construction sites. The saw blade is lowered and raised steplessly via a closed threaded spindle with cutting depth indicator, thus preventing damage to the saw blade. The spindle is protected outside the splash zone.

    Intended use The LISSMAC floor saw is a floor cutting off machine and is designed exclusively for cutting joints in Intended use concrete or asphalt. Cutting is possible up to a maximum width of 15 mm. The floor saw may only be operated by one person.

    2.2. Organizational measures The operating instructions must be readily available at the place of use and accessible to all persons. In addition to the operating instructions, generally applicable legal and other binding regulations for accident prevention and environmental protection must be observed and instructed. Such obligations may also relate, for example, to the handling of hazardous substances or the wearing of personal protective equipment or road traffic regulations.

    2.3. Personnel selection and qualification; basic duties Operators must be 18 years of age or older and be mentally and physically capable of operating the floor saw. All persons must be instructed in the operation of the floor saw and be expressly authorized in writing by the contractor to operate the floor saw.

    2.4.2. Commissioning The direction of rotation must be observed when inserting the saw blade. The cutting process must always be synchronized (downwards), otherwise the material will tear out and small parts will fly around. Protect your hands from sharp edges when inserting the saw blade. Ensure that the surface on which you are cutting has the required Load capacity.

    2.4.4. Moving the floor saw The floor saw may only be repositioned when the saw blade is stationary. Before leaving the operating position on the floor saw, the combustion engine must be switched off and the saw blade must be at a standstill. The combustion engine must be started and stopped on the side facing away from the saw blade.

    2.5.2. Dust When working in confined spaces, observe any existing national regulations. To prevent the formation of dust during cutting, the saw blade must be continuously sprayed with water and cooled. Dry cutting is only permitted with a special conversion kit and dust extraction. Do not eat, drink or smoke in the working area.

    2.7. Packaging and storage To ensure adequate protection during shipping and transportation, the machine and its components have been carefully packed. Upon receipt of the machine, it should be checked for damage. The packaging of the appliance consists of recyclable materials.     4. COMMISSIONING 4.1. Connections and operating materials Honda engine oil The engine is filled with SAE 5W-30 engine oil by the manufacturer. Only engine oil of service class SJ or better approved by the manufacturer may be used. See also the engine manufacturer's operating instructions.     6. OPERATION 6.1. General security • The floor saw may only be operated by one person. Instruct other persons to leave the work area or set up a barrier. • Never start the machine when the saw blade is on the ground. This will overload the drive.

    6.1. Special types of hazards DANGER Toxic exhaust fumes The exhaust gases from the combustion engine contain carbon monoxide. It is an invisible, odorless and tasteless gas that can cause unconsciousness and suffocation. It can quickly accumulate in confined spaces and remain there for hours, even after the engine has been switched off.

Do not smoke and keep naked flames away. Ejected parts hazard When working with compressed air, foreign bodies can hit the eye.
  • Page 45 7.2. Clean/change air filter HONDA The air filter filters the ambient air and prevents foreign substances from entering the combustion chamber. These foreign substances settle in the air filter over time and reduce the air flow. The air filter should be checked regularly and replaced in good time to prevent engine damage. Operation of the engine without an air filter is not permitted.

These foreign substances settle in the air filter over time and reduce the air flow. The air filter should be checked regularly and replaced in good time to prevent engine damage.
