TROUBLESHOOTING

No Power
• Make sure the MAINS CABLE PLUG is securely seated in the mains
outlet.
• Make sure the MAINS CABLE SOCKET is securely seated in the mixer
AC~ inlet.
• Make sure the mains AC~ outlet is live (check with a tester or a
lamp)
Bad Channel
• Is the MUTE switch in the correct position?
• Is the MIX or GROUP 1-2 engaged?
• Is the input GAIN control for the channel turned up?
• Is the channel FADER turned up?
• Is the signal source turned up? Make sure the signal level from the
selected input source is high enough to light up some of the led meter,
check it using the SOLO button in PFL mode.
• Try the same source signal in another channel, set up exactly like the
suspect channel.
Bad Output
• Is the associated level control (if any) turned up?
• If it's of the MAIN MIX outputs, try unplugging all the others. For
example, if it's the XLR LEFT MAIN MIX output, unplug the ¼" (6.3mm)
jack connector form the LEFT MAIN MIX output or unplug the ¼" (6.3mm)
jack connector form the LEFT MAIN MIX INSERT or unplug the RCA LEFT
2TRK OUT. If the problem goes away, it's not the mixer, check the other
cables.
• If it's a stereo pair, try switching them around. For example, if a left
output is presumed dead, switch the left and right cords at the mixer end.
If the problem stays on the left side, it's not the mixer, check the cable.
Bad Sound
• Is the input connector plugged completely into the jack?
• Is it loud and distorted? Make sure the input GAIN control for the input
is set correctly. Reduce the signal level on the input source if possible.
Noise / Hum
• Turn down each channel, one by one. If the noise disappears, it's
coming from whatever is plugged into that channel.
• Check the signal cables between the input sources and the mixer.
Disconnect them one by one. When the noise goes away you'll know
which input source is causing the problem.
• Sometimes it helps to plug all audio equipment into the same AC
circuit so they share a common ground.
• If the Hum appears only when the USB is connected to a NOTEBOOK
computer and the power supply unit of the NOTEBOOK computer is in
CLASS 1, try to replace the power supply unit with one in CLASS 2 or
use it disconnecting from the mains line and supplying it with internal
batteries.

Assenza di alimentazione
• Assicurarsi che il cavo di alimentazione di rete sia ben saldamente
inserito nella presa di corrente.
• Assicurarsi che il cavo di alimentazione di rete sia ben saldamente
inserito nella presa AC~ del mixer.
• Assicurarsi che ci sia eff ettivamente tensione sulla presa di corrente
(controllare con un tester o una lampada)
Assenza di segnale dal canale
• È il tasto MUTE nella posizione sollevata?
• È stato abilitato il tasto MIX o GROUP 1-2?
• È stato incrementato il guadagno usando il controllo di GAIN?
• È stato aumentato il livello del canale usando il FADER di canale?
• È accesa la sorgente di segnale? Assicurarsi che il segnale in ingresso
dalla sorgente sia sufficientemente alto da accendere qualche led
dell'indicatore di livello, per controllarlo usare il tasto SOLO in modalità
PFL.
• Provare a collegare il segnale su un'altro canale, impostandolo
esattamente come il canale che si sospetta di non funzionare
correttamente.
Assenza di segnale in uscita
• È stato incrementato il controllo di livello associato?
• Se l'uscita MAIN MIX è assente, provare a disinserire tutte le altre. Per
esempio, se è inserito un cavo XLR nell'uscita LEFT MAIN MIX, sconnettere
il jack dell'uscita LEFT MAIN MIX o sconnettere il jack dell'INSERT LEFT
MAIN MIX o sconnettere l'uscita RCA LEFT 2TRK OUT. Se il problema
scompare, non è il mixer, controllare i cavi.
• Se si dispone di una coppia di canali stereo, provare ad invertirli. Per
esempio, se è l'uscita sinistra presumibilmente non funzionante, invertire
gli spinotti sinistro e destro sul mixer. Se il problema rimane sul lato
sinistro, non è il mixer, controllare il cavo.
Suono Distorto
• È il connettore di ingresso completamente inserito nella presa jack?
• È un suono forte e distorto? Assicurarsi che il controllo di GAIN per
quell'ingresso è impostato correttamente. Ridurre il livello di segnale
della sorgente se possibile.
Rumore / Ronzio
• Abbassare uno alla volta ciascun canale. Se il rumore scompare,
proviene dalla sorgente collegata a quel canale.
• Controllare i cavi di segnale fra le sorgenti e gli ingressi del mixer.
Scollegandoli uno ad uno. Quando il rumore scompare si saprà quale
sorgente è la causa del problema.
• Talvolta può essere di aiuto alimentare tutto l'equipaggiamento
audio collegandolo dalla stessa linea di corrente AC, in modo che tutti gli
apparati condividano la stessa presa di terra.
• Se il ronzio compare solo quando si collega l'USB a un computer
portatile e l'unità di alimentazione del computer portatile è in CLASSE
1, provare a rimpiazzare l'unità di alimentazione con una in CLASSE 2 o
usarlo scollegandolo dalla rete e alimentandolo con le batterie interne.
