Completing the valid XML document
To make sure everything is in order for future uses of the document, you'll do two final
checks. You have affected the document in many ways, so some reconfirmation can be
helpful.
1 Make structapps.fm the active document.
2 Read the underlying template applications again through File > Structure Tools > Read
Application Definitions.
3 Reconfirm that TechPubs is the active application through File > Set Structured
Application.
4 Make CIBColorDoc1.fm the active document.
5 Validate the document.
6 Save the document.
7 Finally, choose File > Save As.
8 Save the document as CIBColorFinal.fm in the L17XML folder within the Lesson17
folder.
9 Also, save the document as CIBColorFinal.fm in the L18XML folder within the
Lesson18 folder. You will use it in the next lesson.
Congratulations, you've made a valid Structured FrameMaker 7.0 document that can
become an XML document and be read back into Structured FrameMaker 7.0 to
complete a round trip.
Moving on
For in-depth information about authoring XML using FrameMaker documents, see
