Using the Model Tree
The Model Tree includes three sections. The top section includes the tree structure of the
3D model. For example, a 3D model depicting a car may have separate groups of objects
(called nodes) for the chassis, engine, and wheels. In the top section of the Model Tree,
you can move through the hierarchy and select, isolate, or hide various parts.
The middle section includes a list of views that you or the author have created. For
example, after you isolate and rotate a part, you can save that particular view. After
making other transformations, you can click the view you created to return the 3D model
to the saved state.
The bottom section includes metadata information, if any, about the part. You cannot edit
this information in Acrobat 3D.

To view or hide the Model Tree:
1. Select the 3D model.
2. Click the Toggle Model Tree icon
tab on the left side of the application window.
In some instances, the author of the PDF document can set up a 3D model so that clicking
it automatically displays the Model Tree. You can change a 3D preference setting to
display the Model Tree whenever you click the 3D model.
