• Pulling up the lower thread

Hold the end of the thread, turn the
handwheel towards yourself for one
full turn, and then stop when the
needle is at its highest position.
Note: Always turn the handwheel towards yourself (in the direction of
the arrow). If you turn it in the wrong direction it could tangle the
thread.
Note: If the thread is tight the lower thread will not come out, so hold the
thread loosely.

Pull up the upper thread and the loop of
the lower thread will come out.
Pull out this lower thread.

Align the upper thread and lower thread,
and thread through the groove of the
presser foot.
Pull back about 15 cm.
