    Unpacking At the time of delivery, make sure to inspect the unit packaging for damage before signing for the shipment. If packaging damage is present, request immediate product inspection and file a claim with the carrier. Note: Packaging damage does not denote that unit damage exists.

    General Recommendations Intended Use This section includes some general recommendations for your unit. The 5 °C refrigerators described in this manual are high Temperature Monitoring performance units for professional use. These products are intended for use as cold storage of temperature sensitive materials such as media, reagents, and clinical* and laboratory products.

    Initial Loading Allow the unit to operate at the desired temperature for a minimum of 12 hours before loading. Load the unit one shelf at a time, starting from bottom to top shelf. After loading each shelf, allow the unit to recover to the desired setpoint before loading the next shelf.

    Product Loading and Unloading Guidelines When loading your laboratory refrigerator, ensure to observe the following guidelines: • Distribute the load as evenly as possible.     Standard Display Icon Action in Direct Access Mode At start-up, the user terminal briefly shows the firmware Lights version and then the standard display.     Programming Mode In direct access mode, pressing PRG enters programming mode, where the unit’s main operating parameters can be set. Notice: In the default settings the user password is set to 0 and is not required when entering programming mode; if the password has been set to a value other than 0, this needs to be entered to access the Direct Access Mode and Programming Mode.

    Maintenance Cleaning the Condenser WARNING: Risk of Shock. Disconnect equipment from main power before attempting any maintenance to equipment or its controls unless stated otherwise. CAUTION: Condensers should be cleaned at least every six months; more often if the laboratory area is dusty. In heavy traffic areas, Cleaning the Cabinet condensers load with dirt more quickly.
