Hardware Introduction FreeScan Trio (hereinafter referred to as "scanner") is a handheld laser 3D scanner independently developed by SHINING 3D Tech Co., Ltd., featured in the fast scanning speed, complete data acquisition, and convenient operation. Besides, the device supports repeatable high-precision operations without discrimination on the material and color of the objects to be scanned.

Activation If you are using the device for the first time, please start the software after installation and log in with your SHINING 3D user account to activate the device. Registration Click Register and fill in the account information in the registration pop-up.

You can re-adjust parameters of the device through calibration, which not only ensures the accuracy of the device, but also the scanning quality. Note Calibration is required under the following conditions: The first time for using the device. The scanner was severely shaken or vibrated during transportation. The scanner is used for the first time or it is not in use for a long period of time (1-2 weeks).

In the prompt window, name the project group and click Browse to select the storage path; then click Confirm and all scanned data will be saved to the folder with the name you just set.

Note Mesh data will be displayed after pausing the scanning whether this mode is enabled or not. You can switch another scan mode when only global markers data is present or after all data is cleared. Scan modes cannot be switched during pre-scanning, the scanning process, or when data present in the scene. Projects within the same project group can adopt different states: Project A within the group can have this mode enabled, while Project B can have it disabled.
