Overview of the Installation Process
There are four major steps in the installation process:
1 Preparing the computer by shutting down all applications, turning off the power,
removing the cover, and checking for cables and mounting hardware.
2 Preparing the tape drive by checking the SCSI ID (and changing it if necessary) and
attaching any mounting hardware (tray or rails) that may be needed.
3 Installing the tape drive in the empty bay and connecting the SCSI and power
cables.
4 Verifying that the tape drive is properly installed and functional by running
TapeAssure.
