designed for use in industrial environments.
They support ETHERNET 10 Mbit/s and Fast
ETHERNET 100 Mbit/s.
The SPIDER II Giga... devices additionally
support Gigabit ETHERNET 1000 Mbit/s.
The devices support switched ETHERNET
networks in accordance with IEEE standard
IEEE 802.3 using copper and fiber optic
technology. They are plugged onto the stan-
dard bar.
Depending on the product type, the

(10/100 Mbit/s, RJ45 socket) and up to two

100 Mbit/s fiber optic ports (100BASE-FX,

SC or ST connector):

(10/100/1000 Mbit/s, RJ45 socket) and up to
two 1000 Mbit/s fiber optic ports
(1000BASE-X, SFP slot).
It is possible to connect further data
terminal equipments or other TP network
segments to the TP ports using twisted pair
cabling.
The TP ports support autonegotiation, auto-
polarity and autocrossing.
One further DTE or one optical network
component each can be connected to the
fiber optic ports.
The fiber optic ports support full duplex
(FDX).
