ERROR MESSAGES
ERROR MESSAGE
CAUSE
The machine's memory is full.
Out of Memory
Paper jam Inside The paper is jammed inside the
machine.
The paper is jammed in the back of the
Paper Jam Rear
machine.
The paper is jammed in the paper tray

The toner cartridge and drum unit

assembly is not installed properly.

The toner is used up and printing is not

Press
Start to send or copy the scanned pages.
—OR—
Press
Stop/Exit and wait until the other
operations in progress have finished and then try
again.
—OR—
Clear the faxes from the memory. (See Out of Memory
message on page 8-7.)
(Printing operation in process)
Reduce print resolution.
—OR—
Clear the faxes from the memory. (See Out of Memory
message on page 8-7.)
Turn on the Page Protection function.

Re-install the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly.

Replace the toner cartridge with a new one.

Order a new toner cartridge now.
Turn off the machine's power switch and then on
again. If the error message continues leave the
machine for several minutes and then try to print, copy
or scan again. (The machine can be turned off for up
to 4 days without losing faxes stored in the memory.)
Load the correct size of paper (Letter or A4) and then
press
Start.
