e When operating the transceiver with a 13.8V DC power supply:
Use the supplied
DC power plug and solder the wire as shown in
the diagram above.
e When operating the transceiver with a car battery:
Apply
DC power from a 12V cigarette lighter socket through the
optional
CP-11
CIGARETTE
LIGHTER
CABLE
WITH
NOISE
FIETER:
e To prevent overcharging of battery packs, we recommend that you
remove the battery pack when
operating the transceiver for long
periods of time with an external
DC power source.
(BP-2, BP-4
and
BP-5 cannot
be charged from the EXTERNAL
DC POWER
JACK.)
1. Select a high performance antenna (a multi-element beam or gain
antenna) and set it up in the highest possible position.
2. Use a 50 ohm antenna and coaxial cable with BNC plug.
