6-5 PRIORITY WATCH
(1) VFO -—— MEMORY Approx. every 5 sec. priority watch monitors a
OR CALL CHANNEL programmed frequency while you operate on a
VFO frequency. Priority watch functions in the
MAIN and SUB bands separately.

- Transmitting accepted while watch continues. While receiving on watching frequency:
- [PRIO] cancels watch. - Transmitting not accepted.
l - [PRIO] returns to operating frequency.
1) Set the desired operating frequency in VFO
mode. (p. 12)
2) Select a memory channel in MEMORY mode or
the call channel to be watched. (pgs. 22, 24)
3) Push the [PRIO] switch to start priority watch.
e "PRIO" appears.
4) When a signal is received on the priority fre-
quency, priority watch pauses for approx. 15 sec.
on the frequency. |
e "PRIO" flashes.
eWhen the signal disappears, priority watch
resumes after approx. 2 sec.
5) To cancel priority watch, push the [PRIO]
switch when the operating frequency is dis-
played.
