Positioning Reflective Materials
To scan reflective materials such as photographs or printed materials, please
follow these steps to place them:
1. Lift the scanner lid.
2. Place the reflective material face
3. Then, lower the scanner lid.
If your scanner is equipped with an optional Transparent Media Adapter (TMA),
when scanning reflective materials, you need to additionally place the Black Plate
over the material to shield out unwanted light. Please refer to the "Transparency
Media Adapter (TMA)" section for information on how to use it.

Center the top of the material along
the U-shaped ruler on the scanner.
Ensure you peel off the
protective film from its
surface before using the
Black Plate.
