6.
Remember, although the design is called tractor
type the Gradall Excavators are not tractors. However,
wear does occur to the track components, when not
traveling. A machine working hard in one position will
often require more maintenance and lubrication than
one making frequent moves. Occasional move will
serve to help distribute lubricants.

Clean built-up mud away from the track rollers. It
can keep rollers from turning. Flat spots will be worn
on the rollers and link wear will also increase
FOR MAINTENANCE MEN
DRIVE SPROCKET POSITIONING
For long distance travel, we recommend
that the drive sprocket be to the rear of
the machine or to the rear of the direction
of travel.
Remember, wear is related to all components of the
undercarriage. As pins and bushings wear, tracks get
snaky. Extended pitch and snaky tracks accelerate
wear on roller, sprockets, and idlers. When one
component shows excessive wear, have it fixed quickly
before it ruins everything else.
KEEP GOOD RECORDS - You can't know how the
undercarriage is performing unless you know what
repairs were made, when they were mace, what they
cost, and how long they last.
