PILOT MANIFOLD - Crawler Units
On the crawler units, a pilot manifold is used to
receive oil from the 6 gpm pump which is mounted
on the power unit. This oil is used to supply the
joysticks, the two speed selector valve and the
sequence valve for the swing brakes.
The manifold is mounted on the main frame near the
dump manifold.
A.
Inlet Port from 6 gpm auxilary pump.
B.
Test Port
C.
Joystick off-on solenoid. It is activated
by a switch on the control console.
D.
Outlet port to feed control circuits, two-
speed selector valve, boom assist valve
and swing sequence valve.
E.
Relief Valve.
PILOT MANIFOLD - Crawler Units
The solenoid valve is used in the pilot
control circuit manifold to activated the
control and brake systems and is
normally closed. This valve operates
similar to a relief valve in that the
poppet seals against a seat in the valve
body. Whenever the electrical coil is
charged, the poppet moves to the open
position, allowing oil to pass to the
desired circuit.
