The emergency stop button is located on the screen stand above the
keyboard.
Pressing the emergency stop button stops the system by immediately cutting
the power supply. This immediately stops the sample manipulator motion
and the generation of X-ray beams.
After the emergency stop button has been depressed, it has to be unlocked
before the system can be restarted. To unlock the emergency stop button,
turn anti-clockwise and pull up.
WARNING!
Danger of death if system is switched back on in an
uncontrolled manner!
Switching the system back on in an uncontrolled manner
may result in serious injury or even death.
• Before switching the system back on, ensure that the
cause of the emergency stop has been remedied and
all safety devices are installed and fully functional.
• Only unlock the emergency stop button once all
hazards have been resolved.
Automatic restart is not possible after unlocking the
emergency stop button. To restart the machine, first turn
the key-operated switch to the "Off" position and then
back to the "On" position.
The main switch is located to the right on the front of the system beneath the
key-operated switch. The main switch connects the system to the mains supply.
The main switch is also an emergency stop switch. Turning the main switch to the
position "0" immediately cuts the power supply, triggering an emergency stop.

• Before switching the system back on, ensure that the
cause of the emergency stop has been remedied and
all safety devices are installed and fully functional.
• Only return the main switch to the "I" position once all
hazards have been resolved.
