9.1 Safety instructions for maintenance

Improperly performed maintenance work

DANGER!
Danger of death from electric current!
Contact with electrically charged components can be
fatal. Switched on electrical components may perform
uncontrolled movements and cause serious injury.
• Before commencing work, switch off the electric
power supply and secure it against being switched
back on.
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to improperly performed maintenance
work!
Improper maintenance may cause serious injury and
considerable material damage.
• Never under any circumstances climb onto the
radiation protection cabinet roof.
• Before commencing work, ensure that you have
sufficient room to work.
• Keep the installation site clean and tidy! Components
and tools that are left lying around or in unstructured
pile present an accident risk.
• If components have been removed, ensure that the
system is reassembled correctly; reinstall all fixtures
and fittings and retighten the screws accordingly.
• Before putting the system back into operation, you
must:
– Ensure that all maintenance activities are
performed and completed in accordance with
the instructions and specifications contained
within this manual.
– Make sure that there is nobody in the hazardous
area.
– Make sure that all covers and safety devices are
installed and in full working order.
