Causes
Paper has been jammed in the
machine.
Memory has reached capacity
while scanning originals
when trying to send a fax in
Memory Transmission mode.
The data is too large or com-
plex to print.
The print cartridge has not
been installed or has not been
installed correctly.
The waste toner bottle has
been installed incorrectly.
The print cartridge is almost
empty.
The waste toner bottle is al-
most full.
Memory has almost reached
capacity during sort copy.
Connection with the server
was lost while sending or re-
ceiving data.
The NetBIOS name specified
for the machine is already in
use by another device on the
network.
The machine's network con-
nection hardware is not func-
tioning correctly.
A scanned file could not be
sent because the machine has
not received IP address infor-
mation from the DHCP server
completely.
Solutions
Remove the jammed paper.
See p.222 "Removing Printing
Jams".
Press {1} to send only the pag-
es that have been scanned in
memory, or press {2} to can-
cel.
Select [600X600 1Bit] in [Resolu-
tion] under [PDL Settings] to re-
duce the size of data. See p.196
"PDL Settings".
Reinstall the print cartridge.
See p.246 "Replacing Print
Cartridges".
Reinstall the waste toner bot-
tle. See p.251 "Replacing the
Waste Toner Bottle".
Prepare a new print cartridge.
Prepare a new waste toner
bottle.
If several originals are still to
be scanned, it is recommend-
ed to start printing now, and
copy the remaining originals
separately. If originals are be-
ing scanned from the ADF, re-
move any remaining pages
from the ADF.
Contact the network adminis-
trator.
Change the NetBIOS name.
See p.210 "Configuring Net-
work Setup".
Contact your sales or service
representative.
Wait until the machine re-
ceives the IP address informa-
tion completely, and then try
the operation again.
