BEFORE USE

  • Take the device out of its package and remove all packaging material.
  • Check carefully if there is any damage. If there is, immediately notify the Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
  • Before use: Very important! Make sure the device is completely charged before using it for the first time by connecting the cord to the charging port and power socket. The device cannot be used while charging.

OPERATION

  1. How to fill the water tank
    • Open the water inlet cover and pour water into the tank.

Before placing the water tank in the unit, make sure it is off.

  1. Nozzle installation
    Insert the nozzle in the gap in the upper part of the device and press it inward. It will click when it is correctly installed. Turn the nozzle to set the water outlet direction. If you need to change the nozzle, press the release button and remove it.
  2. Mode selection
    The device has 6 modes. Select the desired mode by pressing the mode button while the device is off. Below you will find the function for every mode.

    • Mode 1: Mode 1 is indicated by the constant display of 1 white dot and the white BAMBA logo. Water pressure is 10-40 PSI.
    • Mode 2: Mode 2 is indicated by the constant display of 2 white dots and the white BAMBA logo. Water pressure is 30-60 PSI.
    • Mode 3: Mode 3 is indicated by the constant display of 3 white dots and the white BAMBA logo. Water pressure is 50-90 PSI.
    • Mode 4: Mode 4 is indicated by the constant display of 4 white dots and the white BAMBA logo. Water pressure is 60-110 PSI.
    • Pulse mode: Pulse mode is indicated by the constant display of 4 white dots and the white BAMBA logo. Water pressure is 60-110 PSI.
    • Customised mode: Customised mode is indicated by the slow darkening of the BAMBA logo from white to blue. Water pressure is 10-110 PSI. This mode has 8 water pressure levels. Flashing dots indicate an odd water pressure level, while steady dots indicate an even level.
    • Setting the customised mode: At any time, hold down the mode button for 2 seconds to access the customised mode setting.
    • The logo indicator will start flashing quickly in white. Every time you touch the mode button you will increase the water pressure in 1 level. After setting the desired water pressure, confirm the settings by holding down the mode button for 1 second or without pressing any button for 5 seconds.
    • This device features lights in the water tank. During use, the tank will light up.
  3. Before use
    • Before using the device, lean slightly over the sink, extend the nozzle into your mouth and direct it towards teeth, gums or between teeth.
    • Turn the nozzle to set the water direction to be perpendicular to the part of your mouth to be cleaned. Make sure your mouth is slightly open so water can exit.

Note:

  • When using the oral irrigator for the first time, start from the slowest mode. Water pressure can increase gradually as your mouth adapts to it. You may experience itching or slight bleeding of the gums during use.
  • It is normal and it should disappear after 1-2 weeks of use.
  1. Use

    Techniques
    To get better results, start with the molars (back teeth) and work your way to the front teeth. While cleaning, move the nozzle to 90º over the gumline. Stay between each tooth for a short period of time. Slightly close your lips to avoid water to exit, but let enough space for the water to flow from your mouth to the sink.

    • Hold down the power button for 1 second to turn the device on. The device features an auto-off timer of 120 seconds.
    • Turn off the device at any time, if you finished using it, by pressing again the power button. When turning on the device again, the timer will restart.
  2. After use
    After every use, open the water inlet cover and empty the remaining content. Turn on the device and remove any liquid left in the irrigator until it does not release any water. Next, turn off the device.
  3. Charge
    During use, the battery indicator is white and flashing red when the battery is low, at this moment you need to recharge the battery. During charge, the battery indicator and BAMBA logo will flash red. When the device is completely charged, the battery indicator and the BAMBA logo will light up in white.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the main body

  • Use only clean water and neutral detergent to clean the device. Do not use corrosive or abrasive detergents. Do not use water over 50ºC to clean any part of the device, as it could damage it and reduce its performance.
  • If you immerse the irrigator in water to clean it, make sure the charge port lid is correctly placed. Otherwise the device could get damaged.

Water tank cleaning

  • Hold the main body with one hand and the water tank with the other hand. To remove the tank, turn it clockwise and pull downwards.
  • Rinse the interior of the tank with clean water at room temperature. Do not clean the tank with any type of detergent.
  • After cleaning it, place the water tank by aligning it with the sealing and turn it counterclockwise.

Removing scale

  • Depending on the mineral content of the water used, limescale deposits may build up in the appliance. If you do not remove limescale deposits, they will reduce the performance of the product.
  • Point the nozzle to the sink, turn on the device and let it run until it has emptied all the water. Fill the water tank with clean, warm water and repeat the previous step to clean the tank. This cleaning process must be repeated every 1-3 months to keep the performance of the product.

Battery maintenance

  • Make sure that the battery is completely charged before using it for the first time.
  • Make sure the battery is completely charged before storing the device for a long period.
  • To lengthen the battery autonomy, charge the device immediately when battery is low.

Battery recycling
This device uses a recyclable rechargeable battery, located in the upper part of the device body. At the end of the device life cycle, recycle or dispose of the battery separately in accordance with local waste management regulations before disposing of the device.

Recycling process
While the device is off, remove the nozzle and the water tank, and use a screwdriver or a similar tool to pry up the base and remove the recyclable battery.

Note
Do not shortcircuit the negative and positive connections of the removed battery. The connections can be insulated with adhesive tape.

TROUBLESHOOTING

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
  • This device should only be used with water or specific solutions.
  • To avoid risk of burns, electric shock, fire or injury:
  • Do not attempt to connect or disconnect the charger with wet hands. Pull from the plug, not the cord to unplug it.
  • Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
  • Check the charge cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord or adapter are damaged, they must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.
  • Disconnect the charger from the power supply when the device is charged.
  • Keep the product and cord away from fire and other heat sources.
  • Never leave a product unattended when it is plugged in.
  • You must charge the product with the charger supplied by Cecotec. Do not use any other type of charger.
  • Use this appliance only for intended purposes as described in this manual.
  • Use only accessories recommended or commercialised by Cecotec.
  • Do not drop or insert any foreign object into any opening or hose.
  • Do not direct water under the tongue, ear, nose or other sensitive areas. This product can produce pressures which may cause serious damage in these areas.
  • Do not use it if you are wearing oral jewellery, remove it before using it.
  • Do not use it if you have an open wound in your mouth or tongue. If you have been advised by your physician to receive antibiotic pre-medication prior to dental procedures, you should consult your dentist before using this instrument or any other oral hygiene aid.
  • This device is intended for household use only. Do not operate outdoors. Do not use the irrigator in places where oxygen or aerosols are being used.
  • Store the appliance and its instruction manual in a safe and dry place when not in use.
  • The irrigator may cause bleeding gums when used for the first time. This is completely normal and will disappear with frequent use. Adapt the intensity of the appliance to reduce this effect.
  • Do not use the device without assembling a nozzle.
  • This product has batteries which cannot be substituted.
  • Do not place the device in a hot or wet place, nor in places with direct sunlight.
  • During cleaning or maintenance, make sure that the device is switched off and is not charging.
  • Users suffering from periodontitis or those who have undergone oral surgery within the last 2 months should consult a physician before using this device.
  • Do not disassemble or replace parts of this appliance.
  • To avoid burns, do not fill the tank or attempt to clean your mouth with water above 40ºC.
  • Do not use the device for any purpose other than oral hygiene.
  • To avoid injury, do not press the nozzle between your gums or teeth.
  • Do not use iodine, salt water or concentrated essential oils that are insoluble in water with this appliance. Doing so would reduce performance and shorten its shelf life.
  • Do not fill the device with pure mouthwash liquid. If you want to use mouthwash, dilute it according to the appropriate proportions.
  • Keep this instruction manual for future reference.

General safety indications for rechargeable batteries and chargers

  • You must charge the batteries only with recommended or provided chargers by Cecotec. A charger for a particular type of battery may cause a fire if used on a different battery to the recommended.
  • You must keep rechargeable batteries away from paperclips, coins, keys, nails, screws and any other small metal object that can link the battery contacts. A short circuit between the rechargeable contacts can cause fire or injuries.
  • Do not charge batteries from other products different to Cecotec with the charger supplied. The charger is designed to charge the rechargeable batteries provided by Cecotec with their technical specifications. An improper use can cause a fire or explosion.
  • An improper use of the rechargeable battery can cause a liquid spill. If this takes place, avoid contact with liquid. In case of accidental contact, rinse the affected part with water.
  • Spilled liquid can cause skin irritation or burns.
  • If liquid comes into contact with your eyes, seek medical assistance immediately.
  • If the battery is damaged or misused it can release toxic fumes. Air the room by letting fresh air enter and seek medical assistance in case of discomfort.
  • Fumes can produce irritation to the breathing system.
  • Be careful electrical connections do not come into touch with moisture. Do not immerse it in water or other liquids when cleaning it or when it is working as it may produce a short circuit. Do not immerse the charger in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not open the rechargeable battery. You can produce a short circuit.
  • Do not short contact the rechargeable battery. You may produce an explosion.
  • Do not hit the battery. It may cause risk of fire and explosion.
  • The charger is only suitable for indoor use. Do not use it outdoors.
  • Keep the charger clean. Dust can cause electric shock.
  • You must not leave the charger operating on easily flammable surfaces (paper, textile products, etc.) nor flammable atmospheres.
  • The charger can reach high temperatures while charging, there is a risk of fire.
  • The recommended room temperature range during charging is between 4 and 40°C.
  • The recommended room temperature range for the battery and tool storage is between 0 to 50ºC.
  • The recommended room temperature range during charging is between 5 and 50°C.
